Boston Scientific is seeking a Director of Research & Development for Mechanical Engineering and Surgical Workflow within the Neuromodulation business unit. Our Neuromodulation division develops implantable therapies that help silence pain, ease movement disorders, and improve care for neurological conditions affecting the brain, peripheral nerves, and spinal cord. In this role, you will lead the Mechanical Engineering and Surgical Workflow function across the Neuromodulation portfolio, overseeing next-generation product development, sustaining engineering, product lifecycle management, acquisition integration, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will guide a global team of engineers and technicians to deliver innovative, reliable, and technically rigorous solutions that meet patient, physician, and business needs. Success in this role requires strategic leadership, strong technical and operational expertise, organizational influence, and the ability to collaborate effectively across senior leadership and cross-functional teams. This role follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to work onsite in Valencia, CA (suburb of Los Angeles) at least three days per week. Relocation assistance is an option for this position.
