The Harley-Davidson Motor Company Vehicle Operations facility in York is our final assembly plant. Employees at York also perform a variety of manufacturing operations, including fabrication, welding, polishing and painting and produce a wide range of current and replacement parts for all models. Join our team as a Manager, Engineering Manufacturing.


Job Summary

Develops and maintains manufacturing processes within their functional area of responsibility. Collaboratively develops the vision and strategy for their area of responsibility, aligned with overall corporate strategies. Provides the guidance and direction to ensure quality, stability, and capacity of all engineering processes. Manages and supervises engineers assigned to their functional area.

Job Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed metrics (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People/Engagement, and Sustainability targets) for aprocess area through process control
  • Walk the floor, providing leadership and coaching
  • Ensure the process is designed properly through layered audits and discipline
  • Manage production process, ensuring it is flexible to meet changing needs
  • Develop and coordinate projects that enhance machine reliability, productivity, consistent quality improvement, and operational safety.
  • Conduct volume/mix planning at the strategic level through S&OP.
  • Manage engineering/technical system boundaries, including Life Cycle planning of product and processes.

Education Requirements
High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
Education Specifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline Preferred

Experience Requirements

Required



  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience.


Preferred



  • Experience and expertise in world-class manufacturing strategies.
  • Practical application of ergonomics and safety
  • Application of engineering practices and design for manufacturing practices

The pay range shown represents the national average pay range for this role. Your pay may be more or less than the stated range and is dependent on your geographic location and level of experience.
