Job Skills / Requirements

Overview

First Coast Security Services (FCS) is seeking an experienced Executive Protection Agent to serve as a Corporate Security Liaison (CSL) embedded within high-profile client environments. This armed security role is built for seasoned law enforcement veterans and military professionals with a background in protective detail operations, threat assessment, and close protection of executives, dignitaries, and VIPs. Operating in plainclothes, the CSL blends into the client environment and is known only to senior leadership, providing a discreet but highly capable layer of corporate security. This is a full-time position requiring elite physical fitness, advanced armed training, and an unwavering standard of confidentiality.

Job Description

  • Provide close protection and executive protection services for senior client staff, dignitaries, and public figures during business travel, after-hours events, and public gatherings.
  • Conduct advance site surveys, threat assessments, and tailored security plans using local crime data, law enforcement intelligence alerts, and environmental analysis.
  • Respond to active shooter incidents, Security Alarm Board (SAB) events, HAZMAT situations, workplace violence scenarios including terminations and layoffs, and emergency services calls.
  • Operate as a plainclothes armed security professional, augmenting uniformed officers without disrupting client operations or revealing CSL identity to non-authorized personnel.
  • Deliver active shooter response training, WMD deterrence briefings, counter-terrorism education, and corporate espionage awareness to client teams as directed.
  • Conduct surveillance detection, counter-surveillance, and VIP/EP driving and escort operations in coordination with client leadership and FCS senior staff.
  • Attend a minimum of 80 hours of annual armed training covering advanced shooting techniques, defensive tactics, personal protection, and VIP escort operations.
  • Maintain strict client confidentiality under a signed non-disclosure agreement; report directly to the CSL Lead or senior executive staff.

Requirements

  • 8 or more years of verifiable law enforcement or military experience with a demonstrated record in protective detail, tactical operations, or threat response.
  • Active Shooter Response certification from an accredited training provider, current and valid.
  • Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) certification, current and valid.
  • Ability to pass a validated physical fitness assessment benchmarked to military standards, including a 3-mile timed run, muscular endurance, and upper body strength evaluation; accommodations considered based on operational requirements.
  • Valid Class G Armed Security Officer license for the state of employment (or ability to obtain prior to start).
  • Successful completion of enhanced background screening, which may include polygraph examination and psychological evaluation.
  • Proven ability to operate in plainclothes and high-pressure environments with exceptional situational awareness, discretion, and professional composure.
  • Willingness to sign and adhere to a confidentiality agreement covering all client interactions, site information, and operational details.
  • Executive Protection (EP) certification from a recognized institution such as FPSI, ESI, or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior protective detail experience for corporate executives, government officials, or high-profile individuals preferred.
  • VIP/EP driving certification or advanced defensive driving training preferred.
  • Prior military occupational specialty in infantry, special operations, military police, or intelligence preferred.
