This position is designed for a hands-on leader capable of operating in a fast-paced government contracting environment where responsiveness, accountability, communication, and execution are essential. The ideal candidate possesses strong GovCon operational experience, understands staffing-based service delivery models, and can bridge the gap between executive leadership, recruiting, finance, technical teams, and customer stakeholders. This role reports directly to Jeffery Kelley, CEO of Chameleon Integrated Services. Primary Responsibilities * Oversee daily operational execution across multiple contracts and task orders * Coordinate internal resources to support successful contract performance * Assist with operational scaling as new contracts are awarded * Develop and maintain operational procedures, workflows, and reporting standards * Establish consistent delivery governance processes across programs * Lead contract startup activities for newly awarded programs * Coordinate onboarding activities between recruiting, HR, finance, security, IT, and program teams * Develop and manage transition plans, staffing timelines, and customer kickoff activities * Monitor startup risks, staffing gaps, and escalation items * Support Program Managers and customer-facing leads across active engagements * Track operational health, staffing levels, deliverables, and customer issues * Ensure customer reporting requirements are met accurately and on time * Work closely with recruiting, finance, security, technical leadership, and executive management * Help establish a lightweight Program Management Office (PMO) framework * Develop templates, checklists, SOPs, and operational dashboards * Participate in customer meetings and operational reviews * Support subcontractor coordination and vendor communication Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience * 7+ years of operational leadership experience * Experience supporting federal government contracts or staffing-based service organizations * Strong understanding of government contracting operations * Excellent organizational and communication skills * Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously * Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities * Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, SharePoint, and project tracking tools Preferred Qualifications * Experience in DoD, DISA, NGA, or civilian federal agency environments * Experience with contract startup and transition management * PMO or program management experience * Familiarity with recruiting and staffing operations * Understanding of cleared personnel environments * PMP certification or equivalent operational leadership background * Experience working within small to mid-sized GovCon organizations Desired Characteristics * Self-starter with strong initiative * Comfortable operating in evolving environments * High sense of urgency and accountability * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills * Process-oriented but flexible * Calm under pressure * Ability to build structure without creating unnecessary bureaucracy Position Type * Full-Time Preferred * Fractional / Contract-to-Hire Considered * Hybrid or Remote Considered Depending on Location and Experience Compensation Compensation will be commensurate with experience and may include: * Base salary * Performance incentives * Bonus opportunities tied to company and contract performance Why Join Chameleon?
