Who we are looking for:
The VP, Builder Division Finance, is responsible for driving the financial performance of the builder division, as well as long-term growth strategies across builder joint ventures. Accountable for annual budgeting and key performance indicator monitoring while guiding management with data-driven financial decisions that enhance profitability and strengthen builder relationships.

What you'll do:

* Support builder division managers by summarizing, presenting, and advising on all financial
aspects. Translate complex financial data into actionable insights that inform decision-making,
improve performance, and drive profitability.
* Partner with builder division managers in recruiting efforts for Loan Originators by modeling
financial scenarios, assessing market opportunities, and advising on compensation. Provide
insight into long-term profitability and capture potential to ensure successful, sustainable
recruiting decisions.
* Responsible for builder division compensation, from the initial creation of the agreements,
changes in salaries and/or base cost centers, through the approval of the monthly commission,
incentive, and override reports
* Model current branches to advise on profitability dynamics and then coordinate product margins
and commission rates for each market.
* Design, implement, and maintain financial reporting tools and dashboards for all levels of
management to provide visibility into key dynamics.
* Manages a team and oversees the preparation and accuracy of financial reporting and KPI's for
compensation purposes.
* Act as a CHL representative for builder division joint ventures (10+), presenting all necessary
financial reporting and support.
* Lead annual builder division budgeting process and mid-year forecasting, combined with working
with regional managers and joint venture shareholders to develop strategic business decisions.
* Provide ad hoc analyses and reports to respond to emerging business needs from CHL,
ABA/JVs, and executive management.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful:

Success in this job relies on your time management skills, organization, and positive attitude. In addition, you'll need the following qualifications:

* Strong understanding of technology, both theory and in practice.
* Strong organizational skills, and detail oriented.
* Excellent Microsoft Office skills, in particular Excel.
* Superior analytical skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced
and deadline-driven environment.
* Knowledge of mortgage industry and financial concepts associated with mortgages.

* This position requires 8 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
* This position requires 5+ years of experience in mortgage sales, secondary, and financial
modeling.
* Experience utilizing relations databases for data analysis.
* This position requires 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook,
etc.).
