The Scoping Analyst is an intermediate professional role focused on owning and delivering core SaaS implementation scoping activities. Working with clearly defined objectives, you will apply your business understanding and practical knowledge of Workiva technical standards to evaluate standard to moderately complex scoping requirements. At this level, you begin to independently prioritize your day-to-day work, exercising judgment within defined procedures to solve minimally ambiguous problems. You will build productive internal relationships across multiple departments and take pride in owning your assigned activities, while occasionally providing broad guidance to newer or process-oriented team members.

What You'll Do
  • Scoping Execution & Ownership: Take ownership of assigned scoping activities, translating customer needs into accurate effort estimates, project timelines, and finalized Statements of Work (SOWs) using professional principles and techniques
  • Evaluative Problem Solving: Address minimally ambiguous scoping challenges by reviewing a variety of factors. Adapt established practices and apply company policies to determine the most appropriate action for standard implementations

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Build and maintain productive internal working relationships, regularly interacting with high-level individual contributors and managers across Sales, Delivery, and Product teams to align on project scope

  • Task Prioritization: Independently manage and prioritize routine scoping work while receiving detailed guidance only on new or highly complex assignments

  • Team Contribution & Mentorship: Contribute directly to the success of a small team by ensuring the quality of your own work. Provide broad guidance and support to individuals in process-oriented or entry-level roles (e.g., Associate Scoping Analysts)
