Summary

Work closely with Program Manager to coordinate the daily administrative activities of the program. Provide support to the team to facilitate the achievement of the program's goals.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support Cancer Center Research Program leaders in coordinating research program activities including program meetings, seminars, retreats and working groups to foster exchange of scientific information and collaborative research.

  • Work with program leaders to implement and maintain Advarra EVAL database to ensure accurate data required for NCI Cancer Center Support Grant.

  • Coordinate Cancer Center pilot award programs: the Coordinator serves as a knowledge expert for Cancer Center investigators and is responsible for organizing and facilitating review committee meetings, maintaining the Cancer Center pilot award database, shepherding proposals through the funding process, obtaining progress reports, processing no cost extension requests, and tracking pilot award return on investment.

  • Maintain program timeline including tracking deadlines and program components.

  • Coordinate and assist in the development of the program budget.

  • Assist in recruitment and training of program staff.

  • Collect, analyze, and disseminate program data.

  • Report program data and progress to program stakeholders. Provide input on program design.

  • Participate on appropriate committees relevant to the advancement of the program and the profession.

  • Collaborate on the development of program materials including educational materials, marketing materials, websites, forms, and reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Required Experience: 3 years

Physical Requirements

Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.

Sensory Acuity

Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
