Be the welcoming face of our hospital and help create an exceptional patient experience from the moment patients arrive. As a Patient Access Representative, you'll guide patients through registration, scheduling, insurance verification, and check-in/check-out while providing outstanding customer service and ensuring accurate information for a seamless healthcare experience.

Essential Functions
Welcome patients, families, and visitors with professionalism, compassion, and exceptional customer service.
Register patients by collecting, verifying, and updating demographic, insurance, and personal information in hospital systems.
Schedule appointments, confirm patient information, and assist with registration and discharge processes.
Verify insurance eligibility, obtain pre-authorizations when required, and explain insurance, billing, and hospital policies.
Collect co-pays and other patient payments while accurately processing transactions and issuing receipts.
Answer patient questions and resolve routine concerns with empathy and professionalism.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth and efficient patient experience.
Escalate complex patient concerns or registration issues to senior staff or management when appropriate.
Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies.
Support efficient daily operations by accurately documenting information and completing administrative tasks in a timely manner.

Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required

Experience
admitting, scheduling, registration, or insurance verification experience 1-2 years preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification procedures preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Basic computer proficiency.
