The Opportunity

Walsworth is seeking a General Manager to lead our Marceline, Missouri manufacturing facility, a complex operation with approximately 340 employees across three shifts.

This is a highly visible leadership role with significant influence on the future direction of one of Walsworth's most important manufacturing operations. The General Manager is responsible for building a culture of safety, accountability, engagement, and operational excellence while delivering consistent performance across quality, productivity, customer service, and cost.

We are looking for an experienced operations leader who thrives in fast-paced manufacturing environments, develops strong leadership teams, and creates systems that drive sustainable results. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on one of Walsworth's largest manufacturing facilities while positioning yourself for future executive leadership opportunities within the organization.



Key Responsibilities




  • Lead all aspects of plant operations, including safety, quality, production, maintenance, and workforce performance.





  • Build a culture of accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.





  • Lead efforts to strengthen operational consistency and predictability through disciplined processes, standard work, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives.





  • Champion Lean manufacturing principles and practical continuous improvement efforts that improve safety, quality, throughput, and employee engagement.





  • Develop and coach supervisors, managers, and emerging leaders to build a strong leadership pipeline.





  • Establish and maintain clear operational metrics and operating rhythms that improve visibility, communication, and execution.





  • Partner with cross-functional teams to meet customer expectations while balancing quality, delivery, and cost objectives.





  • Lead proactive safety initiatives that reduce risk and promote a world-class safety culture.





  • Manage plant financial performance, capital investments, and efficiency initiatives.

Qualifications - Required




  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, packaging, distribution, or related operations environments.





  • Experience leading large-scale, multi-shift operations.





  • Proven success improving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.





  • Demonstrated ability to lead through change and drive operational improvement.





  • Strong experience developing leaders and building high-performing teams.





  • Data-driven decision-making skills with a focus on accountability and results.





Qualifications - Preferred




  • Printing industry experience.





  • Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement expertise.





  • Experience leading transformational change, turnaround efforts, or operational stabilization initiatives.





  • Background in highly metric-driven operations environments.
