Job Summary

The Janitor is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organization in designated areas throughout the facility in support of continuous improvement initiatives. This role ensures a safe, clean, and sustainable working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning tasks including sweeping, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing floors, walls, and equipment in assigned areas.
• Maintain cleanliness standards to support continuous improvement efforts across the facility.
• Perform minor touch-up work including painting floors, walls, and equipment when required.
• Ensure all work areas meet company cleanliness and safety standards.
• Complete daily assignments as directed by supervision.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

• Previous housekeeping or janitorial experience preferred but not required.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong initiative, proactive mindset, and a high level of energy.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to thoroughness and quality.
• Dependable and motivated to complete daily tasks effectively.

Physical & Working Conditions

• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
• Work may be performed in environments that are dirty, hot, or otherwise physically uncomfortable.
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and use of cleaning equipment for extended periods.
