The Volunteer Coordinator supports the daily operations of River Bend Food Bank's volunteer program by coordinating volunteer schedules, communications, shift logistics, on-site support, volunteer drivers, and special event needs across multiple locations. This position ensures volunteer activities are organized, well-communicated, and aligned with operational needs while helping create a positive, efficient, and mission-centered volunteer experience. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned. Volunteer Scheduling and Coordination* Maintain daily volunteer schedules to ensure adequate coverage for programs, warehouse shifts, food distributions, special events, and other volunteer-supported activities. * Provide on-site, day-of volunteer supervision, including task assignment, guidance, problem-solving, and support. * Schedule and coordinate food deliveries for volunteer drivers, ensuring timely and accurate distribution. * Work with Operations and Development to support All Hands on Deck events, including volunteer logistics, preparation, communication, and day-of coordination. * Maintain accurate volunteer records, schedules, communications, and related documentation. * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
