The Role:

Under the supervision of the Sales Manager, Midwest US, the
Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for increasing revenue and profit
margin in the assigned geographic area for all Chromalox, Inc. products and
services within the industrial markets by growing the existing customer base
and developing new accounts. The
assigned geographic area will consist of multiple Chromalox territories where
the ASM will develop and grow sales through distribution, end user, engineering
firm and OEM channels.

The ASM will also serve as account manager for key
accounts, along with leading the rep and direct sales force in their area,
conduct periodic sales meetings, host technical training seminars for employees
and customers. Responsible for hiring
and training field sales personnel, as needed.

This position is a remote role but must reside
within the geographic area of responsibility.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Ability to manage and motivate both
    Rep and Direct sales organizations to achieve Chromalox goals and
    objectives for sales growth and penetration of strategic products and
    markets.
  • Develop
    and execute geographic area for short-term and long-term growth plans for
    increasing market share and revenue which are consistent and in-line with
    corporate growth strategies.
  • Develop
    and oversee key accounts, distribution and value-added integrator programs
    for the assigned area.
  • Facilitate
    on time deliveries with the Chromalox Supply Co's.
    Prepare
    annual sales forecasts and manage area budget.
  • Conduct
    periodic sales meetings to review performance and set goals and
    objectives.
  • Responsible
    for prospecting and developing targets within those targeted markets. Must report to and advise sales
    management on critical activity and issues relating to area.
  • Must have
    technical ability to solve complex heat transfer applications and develop
    sound, cost effective solutions.
  • Capable
    of developing detailed proposals addressing critical needs of customers.
  • Must have
    excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy interacting with others. Will initiate opportunities to develop
    relationships with colleagues and customers.
  • Strong
    time management and personal organization skills are required.
  • Will display ability to persuade and, most importantly, possess the ability to close orders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's
    degree or equivalent experience required. Engineering degree preferred.
  • Possesses
    5+ years sales experience with a proven track record of driving sales in
    related markets and geographical territory. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must be
    strong communicator with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
    as well as the ability to articulate ideas and concepts in front of
    customers/potential customers.
  • Must be
    self-motivated, self-disciplined with strong time management skills.
  • Must have
    appropriate computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and
    PowerPoint.
  • Travel as
    required.
