What You'll Do:

    Provide customer service by following site-specific access control procedures, screening visitors, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at a government location.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and restricted areas to help support authorized access for staff, contractors, visitors, and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts, supervisors, and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, unsecured access points, and other security-related concerns.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports on access control activity, incidents, and policy-related observations, and report maintenance, equipment, and/or operational issues to the appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A tuberculosis test and MMR vaccinations are required in accordance with COLA DPSS/DHS requirements.
  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
