As a Airport Security Officer - Foot Patrols in Lihue, HI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy government transportation location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support travelers and staff with strong customer service and communication. Requirements:

Valid Driver's License (+1 years)
• 21+ years of age
• Ability to pass a background check, physical, and drug screening
• Ability to pass a background check according to the DOT Pass and ID office

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or public agency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout terminals, public areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and report suspicious behavior, unattended property, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
• Support crowd management and orderly movement during peak travel periods, special events, delays, and/or emergencies while maintaining a professional presence.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for unarmed roles; 22+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
