Description

Halff is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Land Development / Public Works team in Tavares. FL. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering Degree, and knowledge in public works and/or land development design, including roadway, utility, and drainage design.

What you will do:



  • Design civil engineering projects under the direct supervision of a Professional Engineer Assist in the preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for public works and land development projects
  • Assist with drafting CAD work
  • Perform calculations and analysis for design projects
  • Assist in the preparation of permit applications and other regulatory documents
  • Coordinate with other team members, including surveyors, architects, and contractors
  • Attend meetings with clients and regulatory agencies


What you will need:



  • Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in public works and/or land development design, including roadway, utility, and drainage design
  • Actively obtaining Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification
  • Experience with AutoCAD is preferred
  • Experience with Civil 3D is a plus
  • Strong communication skills
  • Solid relationship and team building skills
  • Self-motivated and strong organization skills
