| Position Purpose |
This position will serve as a welcoming entry point and team member of the Tucker Center staff in promoting the goals of diversity, understanding, and community throughout spiritual, religious, ethical, and interfaith engagement. It will also provide comprehensive, high-level support for the Director and Chaplain and the Tucker Center by managing the day-to-day operations through an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the department's various programs and priorities. |

- Strong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and situational awareness, with the ability to effectively support and communicate with students, visitors, and diverse constituencies.
- Experience working effectively within a complex organization.
- In-depth knowledge of office management practices and administrative procedures.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to balance public-facing demands (including welcoming guests and talking with students) while meeting deadlines for operational tasks.
- Initiative, sound judgment, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively as a member of a team. Ability to interact with others with tact and diplomacy.
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated budgetary skills and website skills. Proficiency with standard office computer systems such as Google Workspace, Canva, and Microsoft 365.
- Excellent judgment and sensitivity in working with confidential information.
- Commitment to serving the needs of a diverse community.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree.
- Experience coordinating large-scale events.
- Two or more years experience as a receptionist, office manager, administrator, or similar public-facing position.
- One or more years experience supporting college students' emotional and personal development.
- Experience collecting and evaluating data, including observational, quantitative, and qualitative data.
- Experience with training students, including creating training material, providing training, and evaluating effectiveness of training.
- Experience evaluating effectiveness of higher education operational processes.
- Project management skills are a plus.

Key Accountabilities
| Description |
Office Management
- Be the first point of contact for visitors entering our spaces, providing a warm welcome, fielding questions, and directing visitors to the appropriate place.
- Manages and coordinates administrative functions of the department including oversight of Tucker space(s), website, logistical needs, and operational management.
- Monitors Tucker Center email and multiple calendars in collaboration with the Director/Chaplain.

| Description |
Budget and Financial Administration
- Maintains financial records, processes weekly transactions and data forms for student groups that use Tucker funding.
- Provides student group management training and financial training/finance oversight to new student leaders.
- Verifies monthly transactions, manages p-card and corporate card processing and transactions, and works with the Finance Center to ensure valid and accurate reporting of financial activity.

Event Planning
- Manages and coordinates logistical and administrative facets of major annual events held on behalf of the Tucker Center including Voices of Faith, MLK Multi-faith Celebration, and Baccalaureate along with student memorials and other special events.

Assistance for Director/Chaplain
- Provides logistical, scheduling, administrative, and financial support to the Director/Chaplain. Coordinates meetings, special projects, and programs; prepares correspondence, reports, records, meeting minutes, memoranda, and related materials; and serves as a key administrative partner in supporting the day-to-day operations and initiatives of the Tucker Center.

| Description |
Personnel Administration
- Serves as the Center's primary contact with the Student Employment Office and the Payroll Office for process and policy matters.
- Provides training to staff and students as needed.
- Coordinates interviewing, hiring, and onboarding processes for new student employees.
- Serves as secondary timesheet supervisor for student employees.
