Environmental Health & Safety - Temporary Worker

The Environmental Health & Safety Department at West Virginia University is currently accepting applications for a Temporary Worker. This position will provide assistance with on-campus inspections.

What you'll do:

• Assistance with on-campus inspections
• Support assessingcampus safety hazards, developing solutions, monitoring implementation and effectiveness
• Enter and track data related to WVU EHS progrmas
• Attend various meetings regarding WVU employee safety
• Participate in sampling projects to analyze employee exposures to a variety of contaminants
• May assist with environmental and health related sampling
• Participate in safety training as necessary and/or desired
• Assist with maintaining various types and styles of monitoring equipment and fleet vehicles
• Carry out special projects as needed

Pay Grade: 15

Length of Assignment: 2 months

Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week (8:15 am - 4:45 pm)

• High School diploma or GED required
• Experience in safety management or related field experience
• Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered
• All qualifications must be met by the time of employment

• Valid Driver's License required
