There is a 3% rate increase once this 3 month training period is finished
$1,000 sign-on bonus.
Schedule: 2nd shift Monday-Friday 3:00pm -11:30pm.
OT work and time and-one half pay is expected, including working 1 Saturday per month.

CNC Machinist - Mill or Lathe
About the Opportunity:
This is a Union facility with a pension at 5 years. The first 90 days is in training on day shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Afterwards all new machinist have to start on 2nd shift. If 1st shift is desired, the new employee can put his/her name on the 1st shift waiting list. Due to the benefits of being in a Union, there is a long 1st shift wait list (lots of longevity there).

What You'll Do:
  • Process rotors through various machining, EDM, and supporting operations in a team-oriented cell.
  • Responsible for maintaining cell inventory.
  • Set up and operate numerically controlled machines and other equipment.
  • Make and verify any necessary corrections to program, set up, tooling and machine settings with the assistance of the Supervisor and/or Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Use various gauges when required.
  • Provide a finish in accordance with the manufacturing outline and blueprint requirements including but not limited to removal of burrs and edge breaks.
  • Saw material as necessary.
  • Clean and move parts as necessary.
  • Pass an annual eye exam.
  • Responsible for product verification and process control including using necessary measuring devices.
  • Keep charts and records as required on completed sequences and processes.
  • Rotate to different workstations within the cell
  • Perform required rework, secondary operations, routine maintenance per Appendix A, and appropriate safety checks in the cell.
  • Document all non-conformances through specified data collection procedures.
  • Inspect work and verify that product meets all appropriate standards at each operational step in the cell.
  • Complete all required paperwork.
  • Ensure all material is properly cleaned, identified, protected, and stacked prior to movement.
  • Work with internal and external customers and suppliers and participate in continuous improvement activities as required.
  • Complete all required documentation including but not limited to operator inspection records, job routers, NCR's, reject tags, move tickets, and stock tickets.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by department supervisor
  • Utilize computer to access various databases.
-Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, detail sheets, manufacturing outlines, and written instructions.
-Must be able to develop programs from manufacturing outlines.

Job Requirements
What You'll Bring (Requirements):
High School diploma or GED
Min 3 years (5 years preferred, or trade school plus 2 years) of CNC experience with Mills, Lathes or Wire EDM or CNC OD Grinder
Min 2 years of experience setting up CNC machines and doing setups (know setup/offset/make edit/inspect parts).
Min 2 years of experience with fixtures, cutting tools, and selecting and dressing wheels for finish requirements.
This is an aerospace ITAR facility - U.S. Persons required.
What Sets You Apart (Preferred):
Experience with EDM and/or CNC Grinders
Fanuc controls (but other controls experience is fine)
