We believe in creating a culture where people are empowered, collaboration drives success, and diversity of thought makes us stronger.

As an Expeditor II, you will play a key role in ensuring materials and equipment are delivered on time to keep projects moving safely, efficiently, and according to schedule. Working closely with suppliers, procurement teams, project management, and other stakeholders, you will provide visibility into supplier performance, identify potential risks early, and help develop practical solutions that support successful project delivery.

Purpose of the Role

Play an integral role in monitoring supplier performance and ensuring purchase order commitments are achieved. You will provide continuous insight into supplier progress, proactively identify delivery risks, and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to maintain project schedules. Your ability to analyze supplier performance, communicate effectively, and resolve issues will help deliver successful outcomes for our customers.

Core Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Identifying potential schedule delays, commercial risks, and supply chain issues, while recommending practical mitigation strategies.
  • Administering expediting activities for assigned projects from planning through execution and closeout.
  • Gathering and analyzing supplier performance data to measure progress against project requirements.
  • Building productive relationships with suppliers to encourage timely communication and proactive issue resolution.
  • Coordinating with procurement, engineering, logistics, construction, and project management teams to support overall project objectives.
  • Participating in the development and implementation of project supply management and expediting strategies.
  • Supporting supplier meetings, progress reviews, and follow-up activities to ensure commitments are achieved.
  • Maintaining accurate expediting records, documentation, and reporting within company systems.
  • Ensuring all expediting activities comply with company procedures, contractual requirements, and project expectations.
  • Providing technical guidance and day-to-day support to less experienced team members when required.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance supplier performance, reporting, and expediting processes.

What you'll bring to the role

You bring a proactive approach to managing supplier performance and a strong commitment to delivering successful project outcomes. You are comfortable working independently while collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and communicating effectively with suppliers and stakeholders.

You will also bring:

  • Typically 5 or more years of experience in expediting, procurement, supply chain, project controls, or a related project delivery environment.
  • Experience supporting engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) projects within the energy, chemicals, resources, industrial, or infrastructure sectors is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of supplier management, procurement processes, purchase orders, and delivery scheduling.
  • The ability to identify supply chain risks, evaluate impacts, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple activities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across internal teams and supplier organizations.
  • Experience preparing progress reports, tracking supplier performance, and communicating project status to stakeholders.
