We are seeking an experienced and visionary nursing leader to serve as our Director of Ambulatory Staff Onboarding, Learning & Support (RN).   • Partner with ambulatory, nursing, behavioral health, physician, and operational leaders to support workforce development and organizational goals.
  • Integrate behavioral health principles, trauma-informed care, and patient-centered practices throughout ambulatory services.
  • Influence the future of healthcare education within a dynamic academic and teaching environment.
  • Build a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
What You'll Do: Lead Ambulatory Onboarding Excellence
  • Direct the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of comprehensive onboarding programs for ambulatory staff.
  • Ensure new team members are successfully integrated into organizational culture, workflows, and patient care standards.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and operational leaders to customize onboarding experiences based on role-specific needs.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and accreditation standards.
Drive Learning and Professional Development
  • Develop and execute learning strategies that support workforce growth and organizational objectives.
  • Assess educational needs, identify performance gaps, and implement targeted development solutions.
  • Oversee training initiatives related to clinical competencies, customer service, compliance, technology, and operational excellence.
  • Foster a culture of lifelong learning through workshops, educational programs, and innovative learning opportunities.
  • Support the development of educational resources for nursing and non-nursing staff.
  • Lead efforts to integrate behavioral health strategies into ambulatory care environments.
Enhance Staff Support and Engagement
  • Serve as a trusted resource for staff development and professional growth.
  • Partner with leaders to identify and address learning, engagement, and support needs.
  • Promote a culture of open communication, feedback, and continuous improvement.
  • Support behavioral health clinic operations and clinical staff oversight initiatives.
Collaborate Across the Organization
  • Build strong partnerships with operational leaders, physicians, nursing leadership, Human Resources, Information Technology, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives designed to improve onboarding, workforce readiness, and staff development.
  • Coordinate with external partners to provide specialized education and development opportunities when appropriate.
Measure Success and Drive Improvement
  • Monitor onboarding and training outcomes through data, performance metrics, assessments, and feedback.
  • Provide leadership with actionable insights and recommendations that support workforce excellence.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance programs to maximize effectiveness and employee success.

Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or graduate degree in Nursing.
  • Current Missouri Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in staff development, training, onboarding, or workforce development within a healthcare setting.
  • Minimum of two years of leadership experience.
  • Minimum of five years of ambulatory care or physician practice experience.
  • Experience developing and implementing learning and development strategies.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and related educational technologies.
