Marketing Project Manager

Location: Culver City, CA (Hybrid)

Duration:12-Month hybrid Contract

Pay Rate: $79.67 per hour

Schedule: 40 hours/week


Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Marketing Project Manager to support a dynamic Services Marketing organization focused on digital media and subscription-based consumer products. This role serves as the operational hub for cross-functional marketing initiatives, partnering with business, product, creative, engineering, analytics, and marketing teams to drive strategic campaigns from planning through execution.

The ideal candidate is an exceptional project manager who thrives in fast-paced environments, excels at bringing structure to complex initiatives, and has a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through multiple concurrent projects. This individual will combine operational excellence with strong communication and stakeholder management skills to ensure successful delivery of marketing programs, events, and customer engagement initiatives.


Responsibilities
Marketing Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of integrated marketing initiatives from intake and planning through execution, launch, and post-project review.
  • Translate strategic priorities into detailed project plans, timelines, roadmaps, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Manage multiple concurrent marketing initiatives while balancing shifting priorities and deadlines.
  • Maintain project documentation, production schedules, status reports, and master timelines.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with cross-functional teams across marketing, product, engineering, analytics, finance, editorial, communications, creative, media, and business operations.
  • Coordinate work across geographically distributed teams and multiple time zones.
  • Drive alignment across stakeholders while managing project dependencies and execution risks.
  • Build strong partnerships that enable effective collaboration across diverse functional groups.

Event & Campaign Management

  • Lead project management for marketing events, activations, and high-visibility initiatives.
  • Support customer acquisition, engagement, and subscription growth programs across multiple marketing channels.
  • Coordinate campaign execution and ensure timely delivery of marketing assets and deliverables.
  • Assist with annual, quarterly, and ongoing marketing planning and forecasting activities.

Operational Excellence

  • Establish and facilitate project governance, including kickoffs, status meetings, executive reviews, retrospectives, and action tracking.
  • Identify project risks, resource constraints, and dependencies early while driving proactive resolution.
  • Develop and improve workflows, project management standards, and operational processes.
  • Monitor project health and communicate progress, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Prepare meeting agendas, meeting notes, action items, and executive-ready project updates.
  • Clearly communicate project status, timelines, priorities, and changes across stakeholder groups.
  • Manage sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, sound judgment, and discretion.
  • Foster alignment across teams by translating complex information into clear, actionable plans.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of project management or program management experience within marketing, product marketing, operations, growth marketing, or related business environments.
  • 3-5 years of experience managing events, experiential marketing initiatives, or large-scale program execution.
  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Experience developing project plans, timelines, trackers, roadmaps, and executive reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively drive solutions.
  • Experience using project management and collaboration platforms such as Airtable, Wrike, Workfront, Quip, Coda, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting subscription-based products or digital services.
  • Familiarity with lifecycle marketing, customer engagement programs, and multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Experience collaborating with product, marketing, analytics, business, creative, and engineering teams.
  • Understanding of customer journey strategy and engagement across digital ecosystems.
  • Strong ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority.
  • Demonstrated operational rigor and process improvement experience.
  • Passion for optimizing workflows and driving continuous operational improvements.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
