Koch Capabilities, LLC is seeking an experienced and dynamic Litigation Attorney to support a variety of litigation and arbitration matters across the Koch companies. In this role, you will be managing complex and interesting legal issues across a diverse set of businesses.

The position would sit in Wichita, Kansas. This role is eligible for relocation assistance.

Our Team

You will join a team of contribution-minded litigators who handle complex, high-stakes litigation matters and provide strategic advice and solutions. Our team partners closely with internal clients and external resources to assess risk, shape strategy, and drive outcomes that create long-term value.

What You Will Do

  • Handle significant environmental, energy, and regulatory litigation matters
  • Oversee large-scale ediscovery efforts, including data collection, document review, and document production.
  • Leverage legal technology, data analytics, and AI tools to improve litigation workflows and streamline ediscovery efforts
  • Develop and execute litigation strategy, including pleadings, expert development, discovery, and dispositive motions
  • Direct and partner with outside counsel, ensuring alignment on strategy, efficiency, and outcomes
  • Participate in expert witness strategy, including selection, development, and assessment of opposing experts
  • Support broader strategic initiatives, including regulatory challenges and public policy efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including internal stakeholders, contract attorneys, and external providers

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • JD from an accredited law school and active member of a state bar in good standing
  • Experience in complex commercial, environmental, mass tort, or regulatory litigation

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Proven ability to handle discovery, including ediscovery, in complex, data-intensive cases
  • Strong track record developing and executing litigation strategy in high-stakes matters
  • Experience managing outside counsel and expert witnesses
  • Comfort adopting and applying legal technology and AI tools to improve outcomes
  • Strong business judgment and ability to translate legal complexity into practical guidance
  • Experience engaging in regulatory or public policy-related litigation or advocacy
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • First or second chair trial experience and significant dispositive motion practice
