Essential Job Duties
The Recruiting Coordinator provides operational and administrative support for recruitment activities. This position coordinates the day-to-day logistics of the hiring process, maintains recruitment systems, assists with candidate sourcing, and ensures efficient, customer-focused practices. Working closely with the recruitment team, this individual serves as a key point of contact to enhance the overall candidate experience.

Requirements and Preferences






Work Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, On-site one day per week on Wednesdays, with the ability to come to campus for meetings and events as needed
Other Work/Responsibilities
Recruitment Coordination & Operations


  • Coordinate hiring activities from requisition intake through candidate placement.
  • Assist recruiters with posting positions, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and preparing documentation.
  • Maintain applicant tracking systems, recruitment databases, and employment records.
  • Monitor workflows, track candidate progress, and process pre-employment background checks.
  • Manage shared recruitment inboxes and respond to routine inquiries.
  • Perform data entry, including entering time details between vendor and payroll systems.



Candidate Experience & Customer Service


  • Serve as the primary contact for applicants regarding application status, interview logistics, and onboarding.
  • Provide exceptional service to candidates, hiring managers, and human resources representatives.
  • Assist candidates with navigating recruitment technology, including online applications and video interview platforms.


Sourcing & Marketing Support


  • Assist recruiters with sourcing candidates through job boards, university resources, and talent pools.
  • Support recruitment marketing initiatives, career fairs, hiring events, and outreach activities.


Process Improvement


  • Identify opportunities to streamline recruitment workflows and administrative processes.
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures and training materials.

Minimum Experience/Education

  • High school diploma or GED with demonstrated experience in recruitment coordination, human resources, administrative support, or customer service; OR
  • Associate degree with related experience; OR
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education

  • Experience supporting recruitment, staffing operations, or utilizing applicant tracking systems.
  • Proven ability to schedule interviews and coordinate multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel and Outlook) and human resources information systems.
