Accounting and Purchasing Generalist
Overview:
To provide accounting support in areas of need within both Finance & Purchasing including but not limited to Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Cashier and Purchasing/Receiving responsibilities.
Salary for this position is (based on experience): $23.00 - $24.00/hour. Full Time Associates at Omni Interlocken are entitled to elect the following benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision and other healthcare benefits, Paid Maternity Leave, 401k, tuition reimbursement, Holiday Pay and Paid Time Off Accrual. Omni Interlocken reserves the right to pay more or less than listed compensation scale based on factors not related to sex or race.

Responsibilities:
* Maintain Purchase Order system by receiving items in system once they have been confirmed to be on property.
* Contact vendors for missing or conflicting invoices to items received.
* Assist with General Ledger research and re-class entries as required.
* Assist with GL functions (entry creation, viewing entries, copy and print, run queries)
* Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations as assigned.
* Prepare monthly journal entries as assigned.
* Assist with audit requests.
* Maintain open communication with all departments.
* Perform other duties requested by Purchasing Manager, Director of Finance or other department leaders.
* Complies with all hotel policies and procedures and assists others with understanding and compliance with established standards.
* Check shipments by comparing them with Daily Order Sheet and invoice to ensure that what we are receiving is what was ordered (quantity, price, quality state, size, count, weight tolerance and acceptable expiration date).
* Fill daily requisitions for each department as requested in a timely manner.
* Daily sanitation maintenance in dock area.
* Maintain security of dock and purchasing areas.
* Assist in conducting End-of-Month physical inventories in all areas of property.
* Customer Service Responsibility:
Presents self in a professional manner at all times including appearance, identification, general communication and conduct.
Effectively contributes to the work environment through presentation of positive attitude, demonstration of cooperation and teamwork, and constructive teamwork approach to daily events.
* Dependability
Attendance: Adheres to established schedule of work hours. Follows established procedures for early notification to supervisor when unable to report to work
Punctuality: Arrives to work at scheduled times and works until authorized to leave.
Qualifications:
* Ability to communicate effectively in oral and written formats, exceptional organizational skills, an ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
* Must be flexible and able to work am and pm shifts, weekends and holidays.
* Must be able to handle repeated lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying up to 50 pounds.
* Extensive use of Excel with minimum of moderate level skills.
* Position requires extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Teams
* Must be 21 years of age or older.
* Must be willing to subject to a drug screen and MVR background check.
Tools and Equipment:
Computer and printer, telephone, pen/pencil, photocopier, file folders, filing cabinet, and facsimile machine.

* Working Environment:
This position operates in both office and dock environments.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to walk.
The employee is frequently required; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Interior of hotel with exposure to all areas including coolers, freezers, kitchens, and general office areas
This position will be open and posted until filled, with a minimum posting period of three days.
