Aquent is seeking a dedicated and meticulous individual to join our partner, a prominent healthcare organization, in a pivotal role that ensures seamless patient registration and financial processing. In this position, you will be the crucial first point of contact, directly impacting patient experience and operational efficiency by accurately capturing vital information, securing necessary documentation, and facilitating financial arrangements. Your precision and customer service skills will be instrumental in supporting both patients and clinical staff, contributing directly to the smooth functioning of healthcare services and the overall well-being of the community.

To be considered for this role, you must:



  • Be authorized to work in the United States
  • Not require sponsorship of any kind for the duration of the assignment
  • Be able to work on a W-2 basis. C2C or 1099 is not permitted for this position
  • Be able to work the following schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM


What You Will Do



  • Manage the comprehensive patient admission and registration process, adhering to regulatory requirements such as EMTALA law and organizational policies.
  • Accurately obtain and document essential patient demographic and insurance information, verifying eligibility.
  • Secure patient signatures on all required legal and registration-related documents.
  • Collect and process patient co-pays, deductibles, and deposits.
  • Maintain the security of patient valuables in accordance with departmental guidelines.
  • Perform timely scanning of all patient-related documentation into an electronic document management system before the end of each shift.
  • Utilize online systems for efficient insurance verification and retrieval of patient demographic details.
  • Prioritize and execute registration tasks effectively during high-volume periods, ensuring quality service and operational efficiency while improving customer service and financial benefit.
  • Foster strong collaborative relationships with fellow registration staff and clinical teams, providing necessary patient materials promptly.
  • Process patient notifications and crossovers from nursing staff in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to a supportive team environment, offering assistance to colleagues and demonstrating the ability to work autonomously and produce high-quality results without direct supervision.
  • Deliver sensitive, timely, and appropriate customer service across all patient interaction points, including obtaining authorization from clinical staff for patient visitors.
  • Distribute Notice of Privacy Practices in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational policy.
  • Maintain a professional, solution-oriented, and empathetic demeanor consistently.
  • Actively participate in department meetings, workshops, and in-service training sessions.
  • Cultivate collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including clinical staff, ambulance agencies, and law enforcement.
  • Leverage challenging situations constructively to complete tasks and promote a positive work environment.
  • Ensure office equipment functionality and familiarity with downtime procedures and workaround solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the department's objectives.


Must-Have Qualifications:



  • High school diploma.
  • Typing proficiency of 30 words per minute.
  • Ability to effectively operate multiple computer programs concurrently.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong customer service capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with excellent task prioritization abilities.
  • Capable of working comfortably at both stationary and mobile workstations, including sitting and standing.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a culturally diverse team in demanding and sensitive environments.
  • Flexible availability to accommodate training and work schedule requirements.


Nice-to-Have Qualifications:



  • Associate's (AA) degree.
  • Proficiency in a second language.
