Apex's Rockies Division is expanding and is looking foran EnvironmentalCompliance Scientist. The ideal candidate is highly organized,detail-orientedand has the technical compliance skills needed tosupport projects. Your Responsibilities as an EnvironmentalComplianceScientist3:
- Collect groundwater samples fordewatering andbaseline water quality.
- Support preparationof environmentalpermits and reports forprojects, facilities, and operations forvariousclients.
- High degree of technical competencywith completing baseline water quality sampling in Coloradoand/orWyoming.
- Familiarity with NPDES permitting in Colorado and/orWyoming.
- Provide technical oversight and mentor scientific staff to ensure quality work products.Conduct water quality sampling and prepare environmental compliance reports and technical deliverables.
- Client interactionincludesonsite and virtual client meetings.
- Strongtrack recordoffield work,proposal development and managing project deliverables,schedulesand budgets.
- Understanding ofenvironmental legislation and regulations anddetermineimpact on client activities.
- Define and developyour own professional growthwith mentoring fromprojectmanagers.
- Flexible working conditions. Inoffice,hybridor remote. Occasional office meetings.
What we're looking for:
- BS inchemical, environmental or civil engineering,geology,environmentalscience, or another related field.
- 4+years ofenvironmental consulting or industryexperience.
- Adept atconductingbaseline water qualityand dewateringsampling followingColorado and Wyoming guidelines.
- Proficient at independentlyresearching,reviewing,andguiding compliance withenvironmental regulations at afederal,stateandlocallevel;includingNPDES &discharge permitting.
- Experiencewithwater sampling for groundwater and/or surface water.
- Abilitytomulti-task andsolve problemswhilemaintainingqualityand manage your own time.
- Strong communicationskills, and collaborative workethic.
- Strong safety awareness, and an understanding of safe work practices.
- Excellentwritingandproficiencywith Microsoft Office suite arerequired.
- Valid driver'slicense anda good drivinghistory arerequired.
- Experience supporting clients with Colorado Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) regulatory compliance
