As a key contributor to the accounting team, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring accuracy, resolving complex discrepancies, and contributing to critical financial reporting processes that drive strategic decisions. Key Responsibilities



  • Accurately and timely complete complex monthly reconciliations, including those for various financial product leases and bank accounts associated with securitized portfolios.
  • Perform in-depth account analyses and reconcile discrepancies, proactively researching and resolving out-of-balance conditions by collaborating with diverse internal groups.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of daily general ledger to system reconciliations, providing support and assistance to internal teams for accounting problems and issues.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, preparing adjusting entries to ensure general ledger accounts accurately reflect system balances.
  • Provide insightful analytics for fluctuations in applicable general ledger balances and manage inter-company billing for various charge backs.
  • Complete all required accounting schedules accurately and timely on a monthly and quarterly basis for audit and tax purposes.
  • Represent the accounting function in new projects, defining accounting requirements, performing system and user acceptance testing for new programs or changes in accounting standards, and documenting test results.
  • Conduct thorough analysis of general ledger accounts during monthly reconciliations to detect potential errors, explain discoveries, and recommend controls to prevent future issues, logging system change requests as needed.


Must-Have Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting from a major U.S. university.
  • 3-5 years of experience in accounting, with a preference for experience in financing, leasing, or loan accounting.
  • 1-2 years of experience utilizing enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and financial management software.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly detail-oriented and self-motivated.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and understand out-of-balance conditions to develop effective resolution plans.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and strict attention to detail, with a proven ability to spot errors and suggest efficiency improvements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with various internal associates to ask questions and solve complex problems.
  • Strong understanding and adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), applying principles and procedures to diverse transactions.
  • Adaptability to changing technology and a keen ability to learn the functionality of new systems quickly.
