Job Title: Struct & Payload Design Engineer 3
Duration: 6 Months Location: North Charleston, SC 29418 Worksite: Onsite | 1st Shift | 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Job Description Develops, integrates, and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design. Develops, maintains, and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools and/or other design methods to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. Performs and integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Manages supplier development, test, and production activities and coordinates with suppliers to optimize the design and achieve program goals. Develops new design and analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality, and efficiency of the development effort. Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements. Works under general direction. The Payloads organization is responsible for everything you see when you fly, and a lot that you don't, including aircraft interiors, cargo compartments, exterior markings, associated systems, and cabin safety. The selected candidate will support the product lifecycle, including customer configuration development, supplier engagement, validation and verification of design requirements, business integration, and production and certification support. This role requires collaboration with project engineering, production engineering, program/product teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement engineering solutions.
