Responsibilities

The Consumer Loan Closer/Funding Specialist is responsible for analyzing the funding of new Consumer loans and lines of credit, both Real Estate and Non-Real Estate secured, as well as loan payoffs in accordance with bank approval and regulatory guidelines for Consumer Lending. The position will serve to support this function for both the Solution Center and Community Branch lenders throughout the ONB footprint, reporting directly to the Consumer Post Closing Manager.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $17.00/Hr. - $27.50/Hr.. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications and the career level at which the position is filled.

Key Accountabilities

Key Accountability 1: Analysis and Funding of Consumer Loan Requests

    Provide Pre-Funding review of loan documents for accuracy and compliance.
  • Accurate and timely reconciliation of all fees and figures relating to each loan. Confirming accuracy of the loan disbursement sheet and Closing disclosures.
  • Execute funding transactions to disburse loan proceeds to the appropriate recipient in accordance with final approval/documentation.
  • Timely preparation and execution of loan disbursements to ensure funds are available to the appropriate recipients according to regulations and agreed-upon service levels. (DUPL)

Key Accountability 2: Compliance with External Regulations, Internal Policies and Procedures

  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, particularly Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering.
  • Performs accurate input of all required funding fields to generate correct ACH/Wire Transfer/DOA deposit or Cashier's Check amount.

Key Accountability 3: Deliver Exceptional Client Service to ONBs External Clients and Internal Partners

  • Manage a pipeline of loan funding requests to ensure adherence to timing and funding expectations to meet client needs.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High school diploma required, Associate's or Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • ___ to ___ years of lending experience, preferably in the consumer lending area
  • Basic computer knowledge is essential. Prefer familiarity with online applications, LoansPQ, COLA software, OnPointe, Nautilus, DocuSign, CBS/CSS, Velocify preferred.
