POSITION PURPOSE The Senior Marketing Communication Specialist is responsible for leading content development and execution across key external communications channels, including social media, podcasts, and external newsletters. The role will own day-to-day execution, maintain editorial calendars, monitor performance, and communicate analytics and insights to internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator who identifies timely content opportunities, partners with subject matter experts across the organization to develop and review content, and ensures messaging aligns with business priorities. This individual is a collaborative, solutions-oriented self-starter who can translate complex topics into engaging, audience-focused communications. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES Content for Social Channels
- Help identify social media strategies that support brand awareness, lead generation for sales, overall engagement, and business goals, supporting all business units (Healthcare, Sani Professional, Tru-D) and corporate.
- Create, route for approval (with cross-functional reviewers) and schedule social media content across platforms for all business units (including Corporate).
- Develop content and creative assets as needed.
- Maintain and optimize editorial calendars.
- Monitor channel performance, analyze results, and provide monthly and quarterly recommendations to improve effectiveness.
- Partner with the Sr. Manager to identify and implement paid social and content amplification opportunities.
LinkedIn Advertising (Paid)
- Develop and execute LinkedIn paid campaigns (lead generation and/or awareness) for all business units (roughly 5-10 per year).
- Serve as the primary LinkedIn liaison for internal stakeholders and LinkedIn representatives.
- Create messaging, audience targeting, content requirements, and deployment plans in collaboration with business unit leaders.
- Oversee creative asset development, approvals, and campaign execution.
- Help manage campaign calendars and timelines.
- Monitor campaign performance and leverage insights to optimize results.
- Work closely with SalesForce.com lead to understand ROI with sales team.
- Track budget utilization and campaign effectiveness.
Google Ads (AdWords)
- Develop and manage Google Ad campaigns across all business units.
- Partner with internal subject matter experts to create, review, and maintain accurate, relevant ad copy, landing page content, and keyword strategies.
- Monitor industry trends to identify and implement timely search terms and campaign optimizations.
- Collaborate with external agency partners to execute campaigns, monitor performance, analyze results, and recommend ongoing improvements.
- Track and report on campaign performance and provide insights internally.
Paid, Earned & Owned Media Management
- Drive an integrated paid, earned, and owned media program that supports our Sani Professional business.
- Identify, evaluate, and execute editorial and paid media opportunities that increase brand visibility, thought leadership, and industry awareness.
- Partner with internal subject matter experts and external partners to develop and place thought leadership content and other awareness opportunities such as panels, Q&A.
Newsletter Development and Execution
- Develop and manage newsletters (3) across all business units.
- Oversee content planning, creation, approvals, and distribution to ensure alignment with marketing objectives.
- Monitor content performance and audience engagement metrics, recommending adjustments to optimize results.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to identify content opportunities that support business priorities and thought leadership goals.
Event Support
- Support the planning and execution of customer events at national tradeshows (1-2 per year).
- Assist the team in deliverables for internal events, including PDI's National Sales Meeting, Be The Difference Day and other employee engagement initiatives.
PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS
- Ability to meet or exceed deadlines.
- Completion of deliverables.
- Increased exposure of PDI and its brands.
- Preparation of reports.
QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Business or Communications.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
- Social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook)
- Canva or similar design tools for creating and editing branded marketing and communications materials
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong knowledge of email KPIs, metrics, and reporting
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Healthcare industry experience a plus
- Social Media
- Marketing automation and CRM tools a plus (HubSpot or similar program)
- Google Analytics a plus
- Google AdWords a plus
SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Ability to create quick content bursts (images, video, etc) for marketing products in a relevant way and/or culture moments in time.
- Strong editorial skills, including listening, writing and editing.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build relationships across functions and seniority levels.
- Resourceful problem-solver who overcomes barriers.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage projects on schedule and within budget.
- Attention to detail.
- Flexibility and open-mindedness to changes in direction and the addition of new assignments.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions.
SALARY RANGE:
- $85,000 - $105,000 annually
