Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Commercial Training, this field based training position is responsible for meeting and exceeding the Sales and Management training requirements of the Commercial organization at Incyte. Summary of the Essential Functions of the Job Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Act as a liaison between the field force and Home Office to identify and communicate training needs.
- Learn new disease state and clinical materials.
- Assist with training and execution for line extensions and launches.
- Develop and/or execute continued and advanced training to align with corporate strategy.
- Partner with members of the in-house Commercial Training team during design, development and executions of training.
- Provide guidance and constructive feedback to team members during training sessions and field rides.
- Collaborate with Area Sales Director and Oncology Business Directors within assigned Regions to conduct Field Rides with Representatives and provide coaching, feedback, and training as needed, ensuring an inclusive and supportive environment for all team members.
- Facilitate live and virtual training sessions as assigned.
- Facilitate National/Regional Sales Meeting training workshops.
- Identify, develop, and execute training needed at the Area/Regional level in collaboration with the Area Sales Director, Oncology Business Director, and Region Trainer. Coordinate Regional Trainer activities and responsibilities, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all participants.
- Assist in coordination of New Hire Orientation.
- Lead and manage the New Hire Home Study process including schedules, coaching calls, assessments, etc.
- Be a subject matter, product/disease state, and marketplace expert as assigned by the Director, ensuring a collaborative and inclusive approach.
Minimum Requirements
- Strong organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills with the ability to manage and prioritize concurrent projects.
- Ability to work in a cross functional and matrix environment.
- Exceptional presentation/facilitation skills and written communication skills to varying management levels.
- Previous experience in training roles such as Regional Trainer, Home-office trainer, or Preceptorship is preferred, but not required. We value professionalism and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Experience in hematology/oncology is preferred, but not required, as we value diverse backgrounds and encourage applicants from all fields to apply.
- Relevant sales experience is required, with a focus on skills and achievements rather than a specific number of years.
- A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time within assigned regions and to the main office, with accommodations available for individuals with travel-related needs.
- Experience with key software and hardware is preferred (e.g. MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel, Webex, Outlook, LMS, iPad, etc.).
- Proven success at performing responsibilities with a high degree of flexibility, objectivity, discretion, appropriate demeanor, and professionalism.
- High level of selling skills with the ability to coach others on effective selling and execution.
- Ability to communicate and explain complex topics in an accessible manner to diverse audiences.
- Must be able to self-motivate and demonstrate leadership skills with the ability to perform effectively with limited supervision, welcoming diverse perspectives and fostering an inclusive environment.
