988 Intern & Professional Development Coordinator (Full Time) The Intern and Professional Development Coordinator (IPDC) is responsible for:
- Recruiting, training, onboarding, and supervising BA-level 988 Intern Counselors. Supervision will include direct observation, group and individual supervision, and in person and written evaluation and feedback.
- Designing and implementing all staff wellness and self-care initiatives in collaboration with the 988-leadership team
- Ensuring all staff (interns and employees) are receiving necessary training by:
1) tracking completed trainings and competency assessments, 2) identifying and coordinating new training opportunities, with input from the 988 leadership team and relevant partners and stakeholders, and 3) eliciting and responding to staff feedback in terms of professional development and training needs
- Engaging in direct service to support both the 988-call center and the BH Link triage center in times of short-staffing and/or high client demand
Skills and qualifications:
- At least 2 years direct practice experience in social work or a related field
- Experience in crisis work and/or suicide prevention required
- MSW, MA in counseling, or similar degree required
- Exceptional writing, organizational, communication, and project management skills, with a demonstrated capacity for designing and implementing systems
- Demonstrated commitment to anti-oppression and to principles of trauma-informed care
- Consistently appropriate professional boundaries and judgment, with a demonstrated ability to interpret and apply ethical and practice standards, given the roles focus on coaching, mentoring, and ensuring staff satisfaction and well-being
