Job Summary

The Facilities Management Aide is responsible for sorting and delivery of mail, organizing and setup of conference and training rooms for daily use and special events, restocking of paper for the copy machines and printers, and restocking of supplies for the lunchrooms and galleys at the Oakton Disability Resource Center.

Primary Duties

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review.

  • Sorting and delivery of mail to the appropriate location(s).
  • Conference and Training room setup to include staging for daily use and special events.
  • Restock paper and supplies for copy machines and printers.
  • Perform all administrative building support tasks.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Restock supplies in lunchrooms and galleys.
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications: Education, Experience, and Certification(s)

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; use hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop and kneel. The employee is occasionally required to walk and sit. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
