The Opportunity

We are seeking a Specialist, People Strategy to join our Firm.This position will be based in our New York office (hybrid).In this role, you will support the delivery of People Strategy initiatives across assigned business units. You will work closely with the Business Partner, providing operational and analytical support, serving as a reliable point of contact for internal clients, and helping ensure People Strategy initiatives are executed effectively. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partners with the Business Partner(s) to execute people strategies aligned with business unit objectives, providing day-to-day support including but not limited to scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, organizing files, and tracking progress on key People Team initiatives.
  • Serves as a first point of contact for business unit members and leaders on routine people matters, builds relationships across the client group and escalates more complex issues to the Business Partner(s) as appropriate.
  • Liaises with Centers of Excellence (compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, learning and development) to ensure aligned service delivery against business unit priorities.
  • Manages the administrative components of performance management, including reviewing documentation, meeting preparation, follow-up items, completion tracking, and manager reminders.
  • Runs standard workforce reports (headcount, turnover, open requisitions) from HRIS and other systems.
  • Analyzes workforce data and surface trends or insights and provide updates and recommendations to Business Partner(s).
  • Maintains accurate records and reports related to business unit activities.
  • Takes ownership of assigned People Strategy projects or workstreams that advance business units, with guidance from the Business Partner(s) and department leadership.
  • Maintains regular and reliable physical presence to build strong internal client relationships and collaborate as part of the broader People Team.
  • Manages the full recruitment request lifecycle, including reviewing and refining job descriptions, obtaining market analysis, preparing and submitting requisition forms, and keeping key stakeholders informed throughout each stage of the process.
  • Conducts Exit interviews, new hire check-ins and trainings.
  • Follows recommended guidelines and practices to enhance efficiency, customer service, and employee relations, aligning with the Firm's Core Values.
  • Manages Firm resources responsibly.
  • Complies with and understands Firm operations, policies and procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of relevant software programs and HR systems with ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
  • Current knowledge of Human Resources practices, techniques and business trends.
  • Broad and thorough knowledge of Excel and MS Word and an understanding of employee database applications.
  • Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as effectively within a team.
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a demanding and fast-paced environment.
  • Takes initiative and responsibility when dealing with departmental issues.
  • Flexibility to adjust hours and work the hours necessary to meet operating and business needs.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of 3 years related Human Resources experience in a professional services environment

The starting base salary for this position is expected to be within the range listed under Salary Details. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other-job related factors, consistent with applicable law.

$95,000 - $115,000
