About This Role

The Director of Continuing Education and Alumni Engagement provides strategic leadership, development, and execution of specialized certificate programs, continuing education (CE) programs and alumni relations initiatives for the College of Veterinary Medicine. This position strengthens lifelong learning opportunities for veterinary professionals while fostering meaningful engagement, communication, and support among alumni, donors, and stakeholders.

The role serves as a key connector between the college, practicing veterinarians, industry partners, and alumni to enhance professional development, institutional advancement, and the overall reputation of the CVM.

This position plays a critical role in advancing the mission of the College of Veterinary Medicine by:
* Existing certificate program tracking and reporting
* Supporting lifelong learning for veterinary professionals
* Strengthening alumni connections and institutional loyalty
* Enhancing the college's visibility, reputation, and financial sustainability


Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and ten years of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • DVM, advanced degree, or relevant professional credential.
  • Experience in higher education, veterinary medicine, or healthcare environment.
  • Familiarity with CE accreditation standards.
  • Experience working with alumni/donor databases or systems.
  • 5+ years of experience in program management, continuing education, alumni relations, or related area.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
