Job Summary

The Merchandiser is responsible for servicing assigned retail accounts by maintaining appropriate product inventory levels, ensuring products are properly displayed, rotated, and stocked, and supporting sales initiatives. This role works closely with retail customers to maximize product availability, identify merchandising opportunities, and maintain professional relationships while representing the organization in a safe, productive, and professional manner.

Job Responsibilities



  • Merchandise and replenish product inventory at assigned retail locations.
  • Rotate products according to established inventory rotation standards to minimize expired or damaged product.
  • Maintain merchandising equipment to ensure it is clean, functional, and presented professionally.
  • Execute merchandising standards, processes, and promotional programs consistently.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify the appropriate sales representative of out-of-stock, damaged, expired, or exchangeable products.
  • Identify merchandising opportunities and communicate competitive market activity, including product launches and pricing changes.
  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with retail managers and store personnel.
  • Collaborate with sales team members to support promotional displays and merchandising initiatives.
  • Maintain required records in compliance with company policies and applicable state and federal regulations, including mileage logs, fuel records, driver logs, training documentation, and other required records.
  • Represent the organization professionally through responsible driving practices and customer interactions.
  • Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.


Job Requirements



  • Prior merchandising experience preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Reliable personal vehicle available for work purposes with the minimum required insurance coverage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency using smartphones and mobile technology.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to assess inventory levels and merchandising opportunities accurately.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Additional language skills are preferred.
  • Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl, and use hands throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions and around moving mechanical equipment.
  • Ability to perform work requiring close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.


Education



  • High School Diploma or GED required.
