Overview

Microsoft is seeking a motivated and experienced supply chain professional to join the Worldwide Product Line of Business team within Devices Supply Chain. This team drives end-to-end supply chain strategy to support Microsoft's category, segment, and financial targets across devices, including Xbox and Surface.

As a Senior Supply Chain Strategist, you will develop and execute global supply positioning strategies across the product lifecycle, ensuring inventory is placed to meet working capital, cost, and service objectives. You will partner closely with Product Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to establish and manage the supply plan of record. In this dynamic role, you will help strengthen supply chain performance by improving predictability, reliability, and cost efficiency across the end-to-end supply network.

The ideal candidate will bring solid analytical skills, deep supply chain expertise, and a proven ability to improve business performance by driving cross-functional alignment and influencing effectively in a matrixed organization.

Responsibilities
  • Ownthesupply commitment, orplan of record,to ensure the right productor SKU is availableinthe rightgeo, segment,andchannelat the right time,cost,andlifecyclestage.
  • Own end-to-end inventory across the forward and reverse supply chain, ensuring visibility and action plans are in place to support Microsoft inventory investment decisions.
  • Develop and execute supply fulfillment strategies to deliver the approved Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP) while balancing cost, service, and P&L objectives.
  • Partner with Finance to monitor product P&L performance and identify the right levers to improve profitability.
  • Manage component and finished goods liability, provide final inputs to Finance for Excess and Obsolete (E&O) reserves, and drive depletion actions.
  • Drive policy decisions andexecutionplansthat supportline-of-business goals in ascalable, standardized,andlow-touch manner.
  • Manage andmonitorline-of-business metrics attheglobal and regionallevels,identifyingopportunitiesandrisks and driving corrective actions.
  • Establish thestructure, rhythms, and processesneeded tomanage operational activities and critical dependenciesrequiredtomeetsupply commitmentsand achieve businesstargets.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in data science/analytics, engineering, industrial engineering, supply chain, operations, or project management with a supply chain or operations field.
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant experience, preferablyinhigh-tech manufacturing, consumer electronics, orsupply chain.
  • Broadsupply chain experienceacross areassuch as new product introduction, supply planning, demand management and forecasting,andchannel operations.
  • Ability to think strategically,execute tactically, andoperatewith a hands-onmindset.
  • Advanced conceptual, analytical, and problem-solvingskills.
  • Experience leadingcomplex cross-functional projectsand deliveringchallenging organizationalobjectives.
  • Ability to partnerwithseniorstakeholdersto design and implement programsandsolutions.
  • Knowledge of business systems and information technologyusedto managesupply chainoperations.
  • Soundbusiness judgment,solidcommunicationskills,andtheability to resolveconflictdiplomatically.

Integrated Business Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,600 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $125,000 - $206,400 per year.
