We are seeking a Senior Development Engineer who will support the growth initiatives of Southwire Telecom market vertical, specifically Hybrid cables for communication networks and all things optical fiber. Under limited direction, the successful candidate will perform a variety of complex engineering assignments requiring in-depth knowledge of optical fiber, electrical, mechanical, and industrial engineering. The Candidate will be an optical fiber expert and act as a Core Team Leader/Project Manager leading a team of diverse experiences and disciplines such as Product Management, Operations, Certification and Test labs towards the successful design, manufacturing, and commercialization of new products. The candidate shall adhere to and follow a Stage Gate development process to ensure that products are well designed and manufactured according to the highest standard of safety, quality, and regulatory codes. The individual will proactively seek and implement initiatives to improve operations and increase customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities
Required Education & Experience
Minimum Education Level: Bachelor's Degree Specialized Degree: Engineering or similar Years of Experience: 5+ Years Experience with standards such as UL, CSA, and others Preferred Education & Experience
Minimum Education Level: Masters degree Specialized Degree: Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial or Chemical Engineering Years of Experience: 10+ years Spans of Control
