Information System Security Engineer (ISSE)

Design, implementation, and verification of secure IT infrastructure and participation in planning, development, and deployment.
• Provide advisory support to the ISSM on ATO extensions and BoE review.
• Perform high level architecture/security engineering responsibility.

• Analyze, design, and implement technical security controls for complex information systems in accordance with RMF, NIST, and DoW requirements.
• Perform configuration assessments, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments for systems, applications, and supporting infrastructure.
• Configure, deploy, and validate security tools and technologies to monitor, detect, and protect against cyber threats.
• Support the development, documentation, and maintenance of assessment and authorization (A&A) packages, including system security plans (SSPs), plans of action and milestones (POA&Ms), and supporting artifacts.
• Conduct security impact analyses for system changes and recommend appropriate security engineering solutions.
• Participate in incident tracking and remediation activities; support root-cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

• Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related work experience
• TS/SCI clearance
• U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
• Must meet DoD 8140 qualification requirements for the Systems Security Analyst work role, designated as work role code 461 at the Advanced proficiency level
• Must have one or more of the following certs: RCCE Lev 1, CISSO, CISSP-ISSEP, CySA+, FITSP-O, GCLD, GCSA, OR GSNA
