UI / Interaction Designer

This is a full-time, direct-hire role with a strong preference for hybrid work in Portland, OR.

Overview

Our client, a global experience design agency, specializes in creating immersive, brand-driven digital experiences that blend UI design, interaction design, storytelling, and technology within physical environments. The team partners with leading brands to translate complex ideas into elegant, usable experiences across large-scale, multidisciplinary projects.

We are seeking a visually exceptional UI / Interaction Designer to create polished, intuitive, and interaction-rich digital experiences. This is a hands-on individual-contributor role for a designer who pairs strong visual craft with practical UX judgment, Figma fluency, prototyping skills, and experience collaborating with developers.

You will take concepts from early direction through high-fidelity UI, interaction design, prototypes, and production-ready handoff. We are seeking someone whose portfolio demonstrates strong interface design across web, mobile, product, commerce, or interactive digital experiences.

What you'll bring

• 4-7 years of experience in UI, interaction, digital, product, or visual design.
• Exceptional visual interface design craft, including typography, hierarchy, layout, color, responsive behavior, and interaction states.
• Advanced Figma proficiency, including components, auto layout, variants, libraries, and prototyping.
• Ability to create high-fidelity clickable prototypes and articulate intended interactions and behaviors.
• Experience contributing to UI systems, component libraries, or design systems.
• Experience preparing organized, production-ready design files, documentation, and specifications for development teams.
• Practical understanding of UX principles, accessibility, and responsive patterns.
• A portfolio showing meaningful personal ownership of polished digital interface work.
• This role is not primarily focused on UX research, service design, design management, or creative technology. Candidates from those backgrounds are welcome when their portfolio demonstrates substantial hands-on UI/interface design and developer-ready delivery.

Salary range: $100,000-$125,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.

This position may be eligible for PTO, health and dental insurance, and/or 401(k) benefits upon meeting certain length of service and hours requirements.
