DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports the warehouse operations at SCI Mahanoy by receiving, storing, and distributing inventory that the institution depends on each day. It plays a key role in keeping materials secure, organized, and available for use across the facility. As a Corrections Stock Clerk, you will perform the following duties:
- Inventory Handling: Receive, inspect, and store stock from vendors while verifying documentation and ensuring proper unloading
- Stock Maintenance: Conduct periodic inventory audits, maintain adequate stock levels, and manage safe storage practices
- Material Distribution: Deliver inventory to designated areas within the facility and maintain accurate delivery records
- Inmate Oversight: Provide orientation, training, and work assignments to inmates, and supervise their completion of tasks
- Equipment Operation: Operate forklifts, hand trucks, delivery vehicles, or other equipment to move oversized or heavy materials
- Purchasing Support: Initiate supply requisitions and order warehouse office materials through the SAP warehouse inventory system

- Full-time employment, 40 hours per week
- Work hours are to be determined (Sunday - Saturday) with rotating shifts.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of stockroom, warehouse, retail sales, or clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
Special Requirement:
- You must possess an active motor vehicle license.
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of basic training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.

- You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
