Position Summary:
Level One: Selected candidates for Plating Operator Level 1 (entry level) position will learn tasks that support the Plating department. Under supervision and specific direction, tends plating line tanks which are used to coat fastener parts with various finishes per customer request. A Level 1 Plating Operator will be expected to perform a variety of support functions which include but are not limited to cleaning of production parts.

Candidates must be self-disciplined and self-motivated individuals with strong accountability (attention to details) skills. Candidates must have the ability and desire to be flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced production environment, be resourceful and innovative along with presenting a strong business ethic and compliance to leadership and company policies, and a good communicator with the ability to represent the company in a positive manner. Other responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized work area, as well as adherence to organization safety rules and regulations.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
* Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
* Adheres to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
* Correctly interpret work orders
* Lift up to 35lbs
* Operate crane system for the dumping of parts after waxing operation
* Support the waste treatment area by loading and operating the filter press.
* Makes basic chemical additions.
* Places containers of work pieces in tank of solutions for specified time.
* Dips articles in successive baths to neutralize oxidation.
* Operates parts loading and unloading system.
* Meet area/product specific production standards
* Complete process and operation documentation (Traceability, etc.)
* Work in a team environment, i.e., follow instructions and assist others as needed.
* May drive forklift to move parts barrels
* Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.

Required Skills:
* The ability to read and write English.
* The ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, decimals
* The ability to use basic inspection tools such micrometers
* The ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents - basic computer skills
* The ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions

Experience & Education
* Typically 0-1 Years of Experience
* GED or High school diploma preferred but not required.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $21.50 to $27 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 40 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
