Come join our team! $1,000 Retention Bonus (after 1 year) Paid Time Off 11 Paid Holidays Eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan Competitive Benefits MPS, a division of Macmillan Publishers, a leading US publisher of Trade and Academic titles, has a job opening for a Rolling Equipment (Forklift) Operator in Shipping in our Gordonsville facility. MPS provides back office support, warehousing, and, fulfillment for Macmillan US, and is their primary distribution facility for North America. Responsible for operating all rolling equipment (forklifts) to move, locate, relocate, pick, and stack products. Accurately counts products; ensuring the product is free of damage for inbound and outbound shipments and assuring all paperwork, labeling, and addressing of orders to correspond to in-house and customer specifications or other requirements. The rolling equipment (forklift) operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of all the equipment; performing other duties as assigned. Description The employee must operate all equipment including Pacer, Turret Truck, Order Picker, and Walkie/Rider, and work at elevations of 35 feet wearing Personal Protective Equipment - Safety Harness. Required to work in other areas and other locations as assigned based on workload. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

The employee is frequently required to sit, stoop, and kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
