The Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak is looking for a FT - Sr. HVAC Engineer to join our amazing Property Operations Team! **Hours: AM & PM - including weekends and holidays** **Summary of Benefits**
Sr. HVAC Engineer takes part in ensuring that all operations of the Resort HVAC systems, along with servicing our guests around our beautiful Resort run smoothly. This task is to be handled in a friendly, courteous, timely, and professional manner resulting in an extremely high level of guest satisfaction. To maintain, monitor, repair and carry out the preventive maintenance programs on Resort heating, ventilation, walk-in coolers, freezers, reach in, and air conditioning equipment. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES: In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the resort. The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent required. EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years' experience as a HVAC mechanic in a complex facility. LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES: EPA Certification Universal type preferred Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality, ability to work independently and with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to "pitch-in" and help co- workers with their job duties and be a team player. Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, walking, climbing of ladders, reading, and routinely lifting 25 lbs. to 75 lbs. Must be able to receive instructions and communicate progress of work assignments.
