We are looking for engineers who are passionate about building innovative applications of the highest quality and demonstrate ownership of the product area assigned to them.

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to drive technical execution and design stewardship of our core platform capabilities. You will serve as a technical leader, responsible for translating requirements into high-quality software while maintaining alignment with leaders, developers, and product stakeholders. This role demands strong technical depth, proactive communication, and the ability to lead and mentor team members.

What You'll Own

You will provide technical leadership, hands-on engineering, and mentorship across key platform service capabilities:

  • Platform Development - Analyze, design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable software solutions.

  • Architectural Contribution - Contribute to system design, documentation, and technical trade-offs.

  • Code Quality & Best Practices - Maintain high standards through code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD pipelines.

  • AI-Augmented Development - Leverage modern LLM-assisted development to accelerate development, improve code quality, and automate routine tasks.

What You'll Do

  • Technical Leadership - Drive technical design for features, presenting proposals and ensuring alignment with team standards.

  • Engineering & Delivery - Execute on platform features, focusing on quality, performance, scalability, and security.

  • AI Integration - Actively incorporate AI coding tools into the development workflow to streamline coding, debugging, and documentation generation.

  • Collaboration & Mentorship - Work cross-functionally with product, business analysts and other development teams. Mentor junior engineers through regular development and code reviews, fostering a culture of ownership and excellence.

What You'll Bring

  • 5+ years of software engineering experience in a product-based environment.

  • Expertise in distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design (REST; familiarity with legacy protocol migration is a plus)

  • Strong proficiency in backend technologies (e.g., Java, Node.js and GraphQL) and modern frontend frameworks.

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), containerization, and microservices architecture.

  • Ability to work within bounded context boundaries in a domain-driven design environment - understanding upstream and downstream dependencies and respecting service contracts

  • Ability to work effectively within agile/scrum environments.

  • Passion for innovation and architectural ownership of functionality, with an interest in leveraging LLM-assisted development to enhance productivity and software craftsmanship.

  • Excellent communication skills, with experience articulating technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
