Controller / Finance Manager

Location: Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), TX

We're looking for a senior, hands-on Controller or Finance Manager to stabilize and lead our finance function following a recent Finance Director departure. This is a high-revenue, high-compliance environment with regular audits and a strong track record of efficient monthly and quarterly close - and we need someone who can step in and personally keep that standard running, not just oversee it from above.

Our finance team is currently thin - three junior finance staff, soon to be two once one goes on leave - so this role is deliberately senior-but-hands-on: someone comfortable rolling up their sleeves on close and audit work directly, while also mentoring and developing the team underneath them.

• Personally run month-end and quarter-end close processes
• Own and manage a regular audit cadence, maintaining rigorous compliance standards in a high-scrutiny environment
• Step into a finance leadership gap immediately and operate independently, without a Finance Director above you
• Mentor and develop a small, junior finance team while staying hands-on in the day-to-day work
• Bring stability and consistency to the finance function during a period of team transition

• 5-15 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including time at a senior individual-contributor or managerial level
• Proven, direct experience personally running close processes (not just reviewing/approving them)
• Experience operating in a compliance-heavy environment with regular audits
• Based in or willing to work in the Dallas-Fort Worth area
• Comfortable operating without a Director-level layer above you - this is a senior IC/manager hybrid role, not a Director position
• Nice to have: experience mentoring and developing junior finance staff while remaining hands-on yourself
