About This Role

Goals of the residency program are to prepare trainees for a career as a veterinary anatomic pathologist via a solid understanding of the pathologic basis of disease, experience in diagnostic skills including necropsy, biopsy, and mail-in case management, and teaching of 2nd and 4th year DVM students (labs and diagnostic rotation). These experiences are also intended to prepare trainees for successful completion of Phases 1 and 2 of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists (ACVP) certification examination.


Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:

* Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent. The degree requirement is necessary to ensure candidates possess the specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities that can only be attained through a formal educational program at this level.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in veterinary diagnostic medicine/pathology
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Additional Role Information:

* Must be eligible for veterinary licensure (full or institutional license) in the state of Kansas

Sponsorship eligibility:

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship.
