Lane specializes in mobility, tunneling, and water resources to address sustainable development and climate change adaptation challenges. Description Visits project site to understand site conditions/restrictions. Reviews the work of Estimators. Utilizes project plans and specifications to interpret and decipher scopes of work. Assesses scopes of work to compile and establish pricing to cover project-related work activities using conventional methods and software. Creates a preliminary project schedule based on the information provided in the plans and specifications utilizing scheduling software. Manages the bid team for takeoff and pricing of project or scope of work. Assists in preparing bid form, conceptual estimates and negotiated proposals. Mentors, coaches and provides feedback to others. Coordinates with Supply Chain, to price the resources needed for project. Actively communicates with DOTs, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure projectsA' minority goals are being met. Researches historical and regional costs for estimating a bid. Researches new bidding opportunities and newly advertised projects. Performs other duties as assigned.
