ADAS Functional Integrator

What you'll be doing:

The ADAS Functional Integrator will be leading the design, development and integration of hands-free door-to-door supervised automated driving (Level 2++) across highway and urban environments, with a pathway to support higher levels of automation concept to production execution. As a Functional Integration engineer, you will be responsible for working with internal teams and suppliers to design, develop and validate ADAS systems. You will be responsible for solving integration issues and ensuring that the entire system is ready for production.




  • Lead with domain to system integration standpoint
  • Able to lead SW and HW integration
  • Negotiate with multiple departments on execution priority.
  • Feature project management
  • Customer feature objectives
  • Feature design and architecture
  • Software requirements development
  • Leading software developers to implement our requirements
  • Leading engineers from different components (Maps, brakes, steering, powertrain, HMI, infotainment, AI Driver, Safety, Motion Control, Thermal) in the integration of ADAS features into their systems
  • In-Vehicle testing of features, requirements, software, performance validation
  • Supervising calibration of features
  • Interface to vehicle program teams, manufacturing, quality, etc for items related to ADAS features


As functionality matures, begin to calibrate various ADAS features in vehicle with the supplier.

Notes:



  • It is expected that you will spend a significant amount of time in vehicles in this role
  • It is expected that you will interact with global team members both within your immediate team and with the teams that you closely collaborate with
  • Since this is a very dynamic role other temporary assignments may arise through the normal course of business


Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree field
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience
  • High level of technical problem-solving ability and techniques
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interface with HiL testing, vehicle integration and validation engineering organizations
  • Previous experience with topics such as CDA (vehicle diagnostics), CANalyzer, CANape, CAN networks, ethernet, etc
  • Good knowledge of vehicle dynamics & vehicle architecture
  • Ability to interface effectively with Tier I and Tier II automotive suppliers


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree field
  • Understand AI Based Model training and validation
  • Background in software development in embedded systems, control systems, Matlab Simulink/Stateflow, or algorithm development in C++, C, and/or Python
  • Basic knowledge of Functional Safety
  • Basic knowledge of automotive diagnostics
  • Experience with Automated Driving vehicle motion controls development
  • Experience in Driver Assistance or Automated Driving systems
  • Calibration experience in ADAS, powertrain, etc (feature calibration or toolset background)
