Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer Full Time Armed Patrol Driver in New London, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond professionally to evolving situations. This is an armed, driving position requiring a valid driver's license. Deliver exceptional service and clear communication while supporting a controlled environment through teamwork, integrity, reliability, agility, and care for others.

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, perimeter areas, access points, and parking areas to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas, verify credentials as required, and document visitor activity, incidents, and unusual conditions.
• Maintain a professional armed presence while observing and reporting conditions that may require attention from facility personnel, law enforcement, and/or emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• An Armed Guard Card or License is preferred.
• A valid Firearms Permit is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
